I'm trying out some Indian recipes - anyone know what a good ghee butter subsitute would be? I can't seem to find ghee in the store and wanted a good ghee alternative. THANKS!
Heat a pound of butter to boiling, reduce to medium. Let butter foam, settle down and foam again. The whole thing will only take about 10-12 minutes and the butter will turn golden when done. Strain through cheese cloth to remove solids and store in an airtight container.
