Gochujang is simply red pepper paste (gochujang), which is used a lot in Korean cooking. Chogochujang is a slightly sour version of gochujang that is often used as an accompaniment for dishes with fish (like hwedupbap) or squid type dishes.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 tsp hot pepper paste (gochujang 고추장)
  • 3 tsp soju (or rice wine)
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 l/2 tsp sugar

Recipe Steps:

  • Mix well and serve in a small side plate.
